Spring 2026 Field Study Course Enrollment Form
ATTENTION: Do not submit this form if you have NOT received and accepted an official offer from an approved placement. A copy of your submission will be sent to the site supervisor you list on the form. Submitting a placement without an official offer is grounds for academic dishonesty and can lead to disciplinary action.
Deadline: Friday, February 13
Students are guaranteed a seat if their form makes the seat capacity cutoff and if they meet all of the Field Study prerequisites:
- Declared a major in the School of Social Ecology or Environmental Science and Policy Major
- SOCECOL 10 (or an equivalent course) or "In Progress" to complete SOCECOL 10 (or an equivalent course) during Winter 2026
- 2.0+ GPA
- Junior or Senior Standing (90+ units)
- Lower Division Writing - If requesting SOCECOL 195W/106W
- Accepted a placement with an approved site and submitted a CEF by the appropriate deadline
*Seats in SE195 and SE195W are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis (by order of submission- NOT by seniority).
Enrollment Capacity Disclaimer: For enrollment management purposes, our office tracks the number of CEFs submitted in relation to the number of available seats. If we reach capacity, we will initiate an internal waiting list. While we will make every effort to accommodate students’ preferred course selections, placement in a preferred course is not guaranteed.
What to expect after you submit this form:
- You and the supervisor you list will receive an email confirmation with a copy of your submission. KEEP THIS FOR YOUR RECORDS!
- The office will process ALL course enrollment forms from February 16-20
- If you are fully eligible and approved, you will receive enrollment information on Friday, February 20.
- You will enroll during your registrar-assigned SPRING enrollment window
