The Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP)
prepares students for admissions to the University of California (UC). As a pre-college program, our mission is to prepare EAOP students to become more competitive applicants to four-year colleges and universities.
Academic preparation and advising are important components in EAOP services. EAOP representatives help students plan their high school course schedule, encouraging students to challenge themselves to go beyond the minimum requirements. They also monitor student performance, provide support and assistance when needed, and most with students and their families.
Students who join the EAOP program will be provided with the following services and more:
Academic preparation and support provided by UCI student staff through 1-on-1 college advising.
Transcript evaluation and assistance with high school course planning.
College and financial aid application assistance.
College preparation workshops.
Special events and campus field trips.
To maintain membership with the EAOP, students are expected to meet the following requirements:
Meet with your UCI EAOP representative at least twice a year.
Participate in at least 2 EAOP workshops.
Enroll in a minimum of four "A–G" courses each semester.
Repeat/make-up "A–G" coursework if a "D" grade or lower is earned.
