allcove San Juan Capistrano YAG Application


We are looking to select a group of youth who represent the diversity of Orange County and its surrounding cities across race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, lived experience, ability, and socio-economic status. If you would like to become an active community advocate for youth mental health with the goal of raising awareness, reducing stigma, encouraging young people to seek help early and educating the broader community about youth mental health, applications are rolling and will be reviewed starting in April/May. The YAG plans to begin meeting in June 2026. Commitment will be for a one-year period but can be renewed. 
Responsibilities of Youth Advisors
● Be involved in community education activities on the issue of youth mental health.
● Plan, promote and execute allcove launch and events
● Provide input on how allcove can improve the experience of young people who access services from its clinics
● Brainstorm ideas on how to reach young people in the clinics’ communities that are in greatest need
● Participate in Youth Advisory Group (YAG) meetings and be available up to 4-8 hours per month for meetings and YAG activities

We are looking for a diverse group of individuals, both with and without, lived experience of mental health. Would you like to self-identify as someone with lived experience? Lived experience is defined as having first-hand experience of living with a mental health issue (whether diagnosed or undiagnosed) and/or having a loved one who is living with a mental health issue.

We are looking for a minimum of a 12-month commitment, of approximately 4-8 hours per month, including up to two 90-minute (or less) meetings per month (typically weekday evenings) and additional events.
