The following survey is designed to measure the general emotional well-being of student participants. Each question relates to one of the following categories: Academic Satisfaction, Academic Efficacy, School Connectedness, or College Gratitude. At the end of the survey, individual scores for each section will be displayed, and information on what each score indicates will be provided. Respondent scores will be compared to determine whether participation in a mentorship program had any effect.
All questions in this survey are optional. You can choose to skip or not answer any question, and you may stop participating at any time. Your answers and any personal information you provide will be kept confidential. Completion of the survey takes about 5-10 minutes.
Survey responses will not be identifiable. Any identifiable data, such as names and emails, will be separated from the other responses. None of the responses will be shared with UCI personnel outside the research team.
Participants who provide their contact information may win a $10 gift card. Willing participants may also participate in a follow-up interview, which will ask further questions regarding the role of mentorship, or lack thereof, in their UCI experience. Students may indicate their willingness to be interviewed during the final survey question. Neither completion of the survey nor participation in the interview are required to be entered to win a gift card.
