Overload requests will only be approved for students who have completed at least one quarter at UCI and have a minimum overall 3.0 UCI GPA. We are no longer processing requests for double majors outside of the Arts before the 18-unit increase deadline.

This is only to request over 20 units. Your units will increase automatically to 20 on the date that is listed on the Registrar quarterly calendar: https://reg.uci.edu/calendars/quarterly/2026-2027/quarterly26-27.html.

These requests will be reviewed and processed for continuing students on 9/1/2026 at noon.

You will be notified via UCI email once your request has been reviewed and processed in September - Do not expect a confirmation before then.
