CTSA Undergraduate Student Petition

Before you submit your request, please be sure to have the following readily available:
 
Course Substitution (must be in one PDF file)
  • Submit a separate petition for each course unless advised otherwise
  • Course Description and/or Syllabus for the course you are petitioning
  • Unofficial transcript from StudentAccess that shows the grade that was earned in the course
  • Art Students: If petitioning for a lower division studio course, please be sure to provide samples of your work (include in the PDF or provide a link) so the department can properly evaluate.


Unit Increase Request
Only submit this form if you would like to:
  • Enroll in more than 35 units in the quarter
  • Enroll in more than 20 units in the quarter but have below a 3.0 cumulative UCI GPA
  • Enroll in more than 20 units in your first quarter at UCI


Other
  • You were advised to submit this request for additional review


During the academic year, petitions will be reviewed within 2 weeks. Petitions submitted over the summer may not be reviewed until the fall quarter is in session. If you have any questions regarding this petition, contact our office via email at artscounselor@uci.edu.
