Fall 2025 Field Study Course Enrollment Form
ATTENTION: Do not submit this form if you have NOT received and accepted an official offer from an approved placement. A copy of your submission will be sent to the site supervisor you list on the form. Submitting a placement without an official offer is grounds for academic dishonesty and can lead to disciplinary action.
DEADLINE TO SUBMIT FALL '25 CEF: FRIDAY, AUGUST 22 AT 5PM
Students are guaranteed a seat if their form makes the seat capacity cutoff and if:
- Meet all of the Field Study Prerequisites:
- Declared major in the School of Social Ecology or Environmental Science and Policy Major
- SOCECOL 10 (or an equivalent course) or "In Progress" to complete SOCECOL 10 (or an equivalent course) during Summer Session I or II
- 2.0+ GPA Junior or Senior Standing (90+ units)
- Lower Division Writing - If requesting SOCECOL 195W
- Accepted a placement with an approved site and submitted a CEF by the appropriate deadline
*Seats in SE195 and SE195W are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis (by order of submission- NOT by seniority).
Enrollment Capacity Disclaimer: For enrollment management our office tracks number of CEF submitted vs number of seats available, if we reach seat capacity we will initiate an internal waiting list. Consequently, our office does not guarantee a seat to all those who submit a form by the deadline. We will work to accommodate as many students.
What to expect after you submit this form:
- You will receive an email confirmation with a copy of your submission. KEEP THIS FOR YOUR RECORDS!
- The office will process ALL course enrollment forms from August 25–29.
- If you are fully eligible and approved, you will receive enrollment information AND your individually assigned enrollment window on Friday, August 29.
- You will enroll during your assigned enrollment window, during the week of September 2–4.
